There you are. And here I am, prepared to take a catnap. We have had unseasonably lovely weather for weeks. Some celebrate. Those of us who are aware know that the warmth is a symptom of the damage that the humans are steadfastly causing to our home, the Earth. I am resting in the new hamburger bed and pondering the impossible choices. I love the bed.
I love that the human bought us the bed. But, I am tired because the lovely weather means that I have been out at all hours, talking with potential comrades and bringing them into the FLF*. And, I can only think about all the planetary resources that were used to make the hamburger bed and ship it to the compound. So, my rest is uneasy. That is the cost of knowing what lies under everything: the dying of our beautiful home and the having to have that is causing it. Today’s mewsing: In the words of Cicero: cui bono?
Please send me questions and I will do my best to answer them. I’m feeling fit and healthy and have lots of energy for this work. Ruti, the Ready *FLF – Feline Liberation Front
