Please send us what you write. I’ll publish it next week. If you have been stuck with something you’ve been writing, do this exercise, take a day off and then go back to the place you were stuck.

I’m going through old writing and found this in a book on loners called,  party of one by Anneli Rufus.

’She is gifted,’ they say.  ‘She has the gift.’  A gift with hard labor attached.  After inspiration comes the plunge down inner passages, the search which suffocates, but liberates; the spelunking where no one could help even if you wanted them to.            Instead, plucking souvenirs from those depths, you must keep asking yourself in a tongue only you can speak, What next?  But how?  While shapes and colors swirl out of control.  A gift, but a subpoena.

Which can take weeks to fulfill.  Years.  Your whole life.

I just worked with two remarkable writers in a two day marathon – four hours the first day and two the second. Our connection and our work were both powerful and radiant.  If you’re interested in an intensive with me, please let me know at bstarr67@gmail.com    We can work face to face in Flagstaff, or by email and phone/Skype/Face Time.
